Who we are looking for:
We are currently searching for a night shift Material Handler based out of Weatherford, TX. Reporting to the Shift Lead Production Supervisor, this person will package finished PVC pipe in proper crate quantities for shipment.
What you will do:
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Confirm product with scheduleAssist with Quality Control duties. (Monitor saw cuts, pipe length, bell fit, product color)Perform inspections of product for proper print line and quality specificationsPackage finished pipe in proper crate quantitiesMaintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas.Know and follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plus, steel-toe shoes, gloves)Able to prioritize tasks and anticipate needs in order to effectively manager time in order to accomplish all tasksHousekeeping in assigned areaAll other assigned dutiesWhat you will bring:
Minimum education requirement is high school diploma, or equivalentExperience in manufacturing or prior success in Material Handler (or equivalent) position at Atkore International preferredExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsGood understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculationsAttention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organizationMust be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical mannerMust be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environmentAble to lift 50 pounds unassistedAll associates must embrace and foster and environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Accountability.Within 3 months, you'll:
