Senior IT Project Manager

Position Summary:Babcock Power's Information Technology department is looking for an IT Project Manager to join their team in Marlborough, MA. The primary responsibility of the IT Project Manager is to successfully manage assigned IT projects and business process initiatives. This role is responsible for leading project teams consisting of applications and operations professionals to meet the goals of projects set forth by the business unit and IT leadership. The IT Project Manager is responsible for working with the business unit liaison and IT team to establish project scope, cost and schedule during the proposal stage. This position requires a solid background and in-depth understanding of business process and operations, information systems and best practices to help drive IT solutions that align with the business objectives.Essential Responsibilities:Deliver premier customer service, developing trusted business relationships and a high-quality reputation with end usersServe as Voice of the Customer (VOC) for the assigned Business Unit (BU) to IT ManagementWork with business leadership and users to understand and develop defined business processes to translate into value added IT projectsFacilitate with IT Applications and Operations teams to establish project scope, cost, and schedule requirementsOwn and manage the BU IT Projects PortfolioMonitor and control the project scope, schedule and cost through, initiation, planning, execution and closing phasesReport to the Business Unit and Senior IT Management on project portfolio progressFacilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for projects as assignedAcquire Customer Satisfaction Surveys and manage on-time delivery metrics

Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in either Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

5-10 years of IT Project Management, preferably 8-10 years. Minimum of ERP/CRM experience preferred. Previous experience working for a projects-based business or manufacturing business would be ideal. Experience with Power BI highly preferred.

Certificates & Licenses:

Project Management Certification (PMP) is a plus

The ideal candidate would be a self-starter; proactive. Not afraid to take initiative and is an exceptional problem solver. Outstanding customer service skills are a must.

The base pay range for this IT Project Manager position is $84,250 - 142,250 annually.
