Network/Datacenter Technician
for Richmond, VA. 22338Long term contract with possible contract extension or hire1 Technician needed: 3rd shift - Friday - Monday 10:00pm - 9:00am2 Technicians Needed: 2nd shift - Friday - Monday 4:00pm - 3:00amLocation: Onsite - Richmond, VA 23228Responsibilities:The patching cabling between network equipment and customer's networkThe installation of power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closetThe installation, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipment
Install/swap out devices (e.g., phone, computers, cables, boards, edge routers, switches and etc.)Install, troubleshoot, and de-install Network monitoring tools
Complete all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levelsProvide hardware break-fix services for network infrastructurePerform onsite call-through, data, voice, website and security testingPerform back-up testing to ensure all systems are connected to the customer's network as directedSupport carrier testing of circuitsSupport inventory management activities
Receiving inventoryTagging of assetsTracking spares (crash kits)Ordering inventoryUpdating inventory recordsPrepare and return damaged equipment
Act as an interface, as needed, between associates at the applicable location and centralized project / operations / MAC-Move, Add, Change management
