As a tech architect within our team, you will be responsible for the overall test automation strategy, tools, technology, and process for Quality Engineering.Job Responsibilities:Technical leadership & innovation for test strategyImprove production stability via maturity in Quality Engineering practicesPromote best practices for Root Cause AnalysisAdvance product quality via testing innovations and process improvementCollaborate with Product Owners, BAs, Architects & Developers in designing testable applicationsDevOps initiatives in collaboration with Development, Business & Testing partnersAdvocate & implement appropriate industry trends (i.e. Chaos Engineering, Accessibility Testing, Low Code/No Code Automation, etc)Promote and support implementation of CI/CT/CD pipelineDevelop & extend test automation frameworks for UI, Micro services, and APIRecommend new tools, techniques & methods for enhancing productivityConduct test design reviews & standardize automation codeResolve technical issues, anticipate risks & ensure timely management escalationWork with Test Capabilities Engineers to leverage existing assets and develop new onesAnalysis, optimization, improvement & maintenance of current test automation suitesWork with stakeholders to plan, estimate & implement test automationEnsure compliance to automation framework, standards & best practicesFacilitate automated, on-demand test automation metricsUnderstand , influence and direct testing for cloud journeyAutomation first mindset and should be able to influence application architecture to test first philosophyDeep understanding of Shift left testing practices increasing code coverage on changeProvide training and guidance to QA and development partners on best practices , tool and advanced automation techniquesContinuously optimize automated testing processes , frameworks and scripts for improved Test Cycle TimeWork with BA and Dev Partners to ensure availability of required test data for independent test script executionDefine and implement Continuous Testing pipeline and make sure effective and efficient usage of test automation scripts for ongoing releasesRequired Technical & Project ExperienceMust Have Skills :BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology10+ years of software engineering & testing experienceAutomation expertise including Lean FT, Selenium, Sikuli, TestNG,Strong Core Java, SQL, Oracle, RESTful APIsVariety of technologies: MQ, Kafka, SolaceGood knowledge of SDLC and Agile practicesExperience in multi-tiered, complex system design & architectureExcellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPositive & adaptable; multi-task in a continually changing environmentAbility to work independently and with a minimal team support.Proven interpersonal and communication skills with technical & business partnersAptitude for understanding large, complex, multi-tiered enterprise architectureProficiency in test data and environment managementStrong proficiency in various open source/licensed tools and frameworksMust have played Test Automation engineers, Architects roles in earlier assignmentsGood to Have Skills:Familiarity with Banking/Financial domain & Trading LifecycleExperience in Jira & Azure DevOps toolsFamiliarity with cloud based testingCA DevTest & CucumberCloud Foundry experienceKnowledge of container orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes)Variety of technologies: HTTPS, SFTP, HTML, JSP, XML, JSON, CSS.Working with Us:As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
