Candidate works directly with various levels of business and technical staff to determine sound technical solutions for business requirements. Candidate designs, codes, tests and documents web applications. Candidate has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications development and the development technologies utilized. Candidate provides production support for small and large, simple and complex applications including the ability to resolve problems in constrained timeframes. Candidate may be responsible for mentoring less experienced team members. Candidate may lead small-to-medium projects or components of larger projects. Candidate has strong organization, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience must be current within the last year. Candidate MUST have strong written and verbal communication skills.Candidate will be OnCall on a rotating schedule, but also may be called into work on evenings and/or weekends if the project requires immediate attention.OnCall rotating schedule. The webteam has a primary and secondary OnCall phone. Those in the OnCall pool rotate through a schedule of carrying the phone for a month at a time. Currently it is about 2-3 months per person per year. OnCall is responsible for carrying the phone 24x7, answering the phone 24x7, and either contacting others or fixing the issue themselves if it is an application they are familiar with. Historically, OnCall staff receives 1-2 calls per month. If the developer OnCall is able to work this issue on their own, they can do so remotely. There may be an occasion that OnCall onsite is imperative.
