Brief description of the project and what this person will be doing - day to day responsibilities:Building new reports in Tableau with connections to various data sourcesUse SQL to connect to various data sourcesRe-platforming from Business Objects to TableauMaintaining existing reports in Business Objects/TableauMaintaining existing UDAs developed using Excel VBA macros/TableauRetiring or re-platforming existing UDA (User Developed Applications)Present reports to non-technical audienceBuild new UDAs using Tableau/Excel VBA macros on need basis for quick turn around and plan to retire them with a proper IT solutionMust have skills/technologies:
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge in the following technologies/skills is must
Tableau developerBusiness Objects - WEBI reportsExcel VBA MacrosSQLDatabasesFinancials/Accounting knowledgePresentation/Design skillsETL ConceptsNice to haves skills/technologies:
Hands on experience with any ETL tool (Informatica/Datastage)Certification in any of Tableau/BOHand on experience with SnowflakeExperience in Staff Operations
Required Skills : 1. Tableau - Advanced (Filters, descriptive statistics, various charts, performance tuning, data prep, etc) 2. SQL - Advanced 3. Excel - Intermediate or above (macros, power queries, Tables, Pivots, lookups, string functions, math functions, other basic excel stuff) 4. Python - Intermediate or above 5. Presentation & Articulation skills - No official requirements for us. We have to come up with new tools iteratively 6. Analytical skills - Try to understand the context, read between the lines on what EMG is asking and provide new reports or dashboards 7.
