Apex Systems is recruiting a Test Automation Engineer to support one of our large clients in the Pittsburgh area. This Test Automation Engineer will support the upgrade, testing, and automation of our client's effort. They will also ensure our client's test automation is current as their applications (across multiple business lines) change, and play a role in educating our client's developers on their increased role in software quality.

Must be a team player with innovative thinkingMust be quick to grasp new technologies and adapt to changing prioritiesMust have experience Testing multiple applications at onceLooking for experience or general knowledge of COBOL / mainframeProficient with Object Oriented Programming Languages, Data Structures and Design Patterns - Preferably JavaMust be able to comprehend complex technological challenges quickly and build innovative solutionsProficient in Scripting Languages (Python is a plus)Must be comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and working in a fast paced environmentProficient working in a Linux/Unix based EnvironmentProficient in using open source test automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, and Test NGSelenium, Ranorex, UFT, JMeter are used by our client's team (all tools are integrated within framework but independent of technology).Proficient in using BDD frameworks like Cucumber, JBhehave, SpecFlow and Serenity BDDProficient in Testing Automation with Web Apps, APIs, Message Queues, and DBsProficient in Performance Testing with tools like JMeter, Fiddler, DynatraceExperience working with CI Tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis CIExperience working with DevOps Tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Consul, Vault, Prometheus, NomadExperience working with multiple cloud providers like AWS, Azure & GCPExperience working with Relational & NOSQL DBs like SQL Server, Oracle DB, MongoDBExperience working with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, DynatraceExperience working with Log Aggregation Tools like Splunk, Sumo LogicExperience working with Reporting Tools like Tableau, GrafanaExperience with Mobile Application Testing & Mobile Test AutomationExperience with testing Data Warehouse SystemsExperience working in an Agile & Waterfall SDLCExperience using LoadRunner, GIT, VBS scripting, JIRA, and ALM is an added advantageAdditional Notes:
