Job Summary

The SOX Manager is responsible for helping to manage the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts. This position will report to the Senior Manager - Compliance. To be successful in this role, the IT Compliance Manager must be able to build close collaborative relationships with the various cross-functional leaders, team members and other impacted stakeholders across business. This role will be involved in supporting auditors, IT staff and other audit key stakeholders in SOX audits. This role will be a subject matter expert on IT general controls (ITGCs), IT SOX requirements, information security and technology risks.Education and Experience Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Utilize knowledge of IT risk and internal controls as well as project management skills to design, evaluate, and monitor the Company’s internal controls over systems used for financial reporting.- Determine the scoping approach, perform control optimization, test control design and effectiveness and analyze and summarize management testing results.- Lead and manage evidence gathering, review evidence based on risk and control perspective and respond to auditors’ questions as needed.- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of ITGCs, application controls and key reports throughout the business cycle on behalf of IT management and working independently; coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.- Provide the risk remediation solutions with execution plan and action for single large project or multiple client projects and contracts.- Act as project lead for information system enhancement, development and maintenance, including evaluating business needs, objectives and goals, and designating procedures to best meet those needs.- Interact directly with co-sourced internal auditors, external auditors, process owners and management.- Makes informed decisions and ensures adherence to budget.- Assist with readiness efforts for any material business acquisitions which will be in scope for IT SOX.Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree- 5-7 years of experienceMAXIMUS IntroductionSince 1975, Maximus has operated under its founding mission of Helping Government Serve the People, enabling citizens around the globe to successfully engage with their governments at all levels and across a variety of health and human services programs.
