Material Handler page is loaded **Material Handler****Material Handler**locationsUSA-OH-Akron time typeFull time posted onPosted 6 Days Ago job requisition idJ-011989 **Job Description**:**Material Handler**Huntsmans Advanced Materials Division is now searching for a new Material Handler located at our site in Akron, Ohio.**As a Material Handler, you** **will:*** Prepare domestic and export orders, loading trucks and containers and general labor-type activities according to directives given by supervision.* Moving tank trucks and trailers around the plant area.* Handle raw materials and finished product inventories, and unload packaging supplies for the process areas such as metal and fiber drums.* Train in plant clean-up.* Understand the operation of the shipping department and its equipment and troubleshoot problems.* Perform work as required in the event of an emergency and perform minor maintenance.* Duties are not limited to the above description as it may be necessary to perform work of a similar or lower skill level. This includes assisting in other areas of the plant, assisting in plant programs, and other activities as directed by supervision.**Skills and experiences required:*** High School diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant experience.* Associate degree or college experience is a plus.* Forklift experience is required.* Experience working in chemical manufacturing is highly preferred.* Tow-motor operator and Tractor/trailer operator experience.* Must have a high regard for safety and the environment.* Must be computer illiterate with the ability to communicate through email and use digital systems.* Ability to work in a physical, industrial environment.* Strong work ethic and commitment to following production, quality and safety protocol.* Must be able to Sit for long periods on tow-motor.* Must be able to stand on feet for long periods.* Must be able to lift to 63 lbs.* Must be able to squat and bend without issue.* Must be able to climb ladders.* Must be able to reach overhead without restrictions.Huntsman offers unsurpassed opportunities to build a successful future.
