Job Overview:The Mental Health Associate position provides care to the patients and maintains a safe environment under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.Qualifications:Required:Bachelor's Degree in a psych related fieldOR 5 years behavioral health experienceBLS through the American Heart AssociationSuccessful completion of all orientation programsExcellent communication, time management and interpersonal skillsScheduling Requirements:Part-TimeNight Shift24 hours per weekEssential Functions:Understands information pertinent to assigned patientsTransports patients to ancillary departments and emergency roomCompletes personal hygiene for assigned patientsReports patient complaints, problems.
