Summary:To promote the mission of facility to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member.Provide intensive therapeutic interventions with children and families in the form of assessments, individual, group and family therapyProvide initial and on-going assessmentsProvide supervision of IBHS BHT (Behavior Health Technician) as assignedEnsure utilization of approved evidenced-based models and that the needs of the youth and family are being metProvide quality, trauma-informed services in the home, school and community.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.Ability to pass training on crisis intervention and defensive procedures.

Qualifications:Licensed in PA as a psychologist, professional counselor (LPC), marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or clinical social worker (LCSW) ORLicensed in PA as a social worker (LSW) or behavior specialist AND have a graduate degree that required a clinical/mental health direct service practicum ORHave a master's degree with at least 9 credit hours* specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling from an accredited college or university AND one (1) year full time experience providing direct mental health services to youth/young adults.Some clinical practicums may be considered to meet the one-year experience.Prefer, PA Licensed, LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT

Verified and approved credit hours include:Foundations of behavioral health and provision of mental health services, individual, group and/or family therapy, crisis counseling, cognitive and/or psychodynamic therapy, abnormal psych, psychopathology, assessment, child development, personality theory, psychotherapy lab.No more than 3 of the 9 can be derived from a practicum.
