Summary:To promote the mission to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member and by providing individual and group therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, recovery principles and other interventions approved by supervisor in a trauma informed and culturally sensitive manner.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:Provide direct treatment in individual, couples, family and group therapyMaintain individual caseload under supervision of program managerEnsure that delivery of clinical treatment is congruent with models and practices listed in job summaryEvaluate and assess the needs of assigned individualsCollect all pertinent information including demographic history, history of presenting problem, family background, testing evaluations, medical evaluation, etc. as indicated for ongoing treatment.Be familiar with the Boston University Approach to Psychiatric Rehabilitation and address in therapy as appropriateActively engage individuals in treatment including the provision of outreachComplete bio-psychosocial evaluations as assignedPlan and implement topic focused group therapy as determined by the Stakeholder CommitteeBe flexible in scheduling appointments to meet the individuals' needsConsult and collaborate with all team members including psychiatrist on a regular basisComplete discharge documentation in a timely fashionTake appropriate action during a medical incident with a Renaissance participant including calling 911 in the community, at site or when a participant is calling you from an alternate locationMaintain performance expectations regarding productivityContribute to any quality improvement/outcome measurement tracking, development and data gathering as assignedComplete all required documentation in accordance with CLIENT Policies and Procedures

Skills:PA State Social Worker LicenseExperience in working with individuals who have a mental illness and/or co-occurring issuesMaster's Degree in Human ServicesGood Interpersonal SkillsBasic Computer skillsConsistently display a positive attitudeExercise sound judgmentDemonstrate effective communication skillsMaintain a professional demeanorDemonstrate integrityTake initiativeDemonstrate positive interpersonal skillsUtilize effective problem solving skills
