Summary:To promote the mission to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member and by providing individual and group therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, recovery principles and other interventions approved by supervisor in a trauma informed and culturally sensitive manner.
GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES:Being an effective and engaged team memberBe knowledgeable of your job descriptionUnderstand the expectations of your jobTreat everyone with respect recognizing individual and cultural differencesBe attentive to program goals that tie into CLIENT's mission and ensure that you do your part in achieving these goalsAccept coaching and supervision in a positive and constructive mannerListen and accept feedback from your supervisorDiscuss your expectations and performance with your supervisor to ensure your successful performanceParticipate in your Performance EvaluationUnderstand that failure by you to perform your duties will negatively and adversely affect service provision and your other team membersCommunicate with your supervisor on an ongoing basisMaintain an active dialogue with your supervisorActively participate in individual supervision/team meetings/department meetingsProvide timely feedback as to the status of the work you are doingProvide input and raise questionsEnsure your knowledge of agency and program policies and proceduresRemain open and understand the rationale for decisions made. SPECIFIC DUTIES:Provide direct treatment in individual, couples, family and group therapyMaintain individual caseload under supervision of program managerEnsure that delivery of clinical treatment is congruent with models and practices listed in job summaryEvaluate and assess the needs of assigned individualsCollect all pertinent information including demographic history, history of presenting problem, family background, testing evaluations, medical evaluation, etc. as indicated for ongoing treatment.Be familiar with the Boston University Approach to Psychiatric Rehabilitation and address in therapy as appropriateActively engage individuals in treatment including the provision of outreachComplete bio-psychosocial evaluations as assignedPlan and implement topic focused group therapy as determined by the Stakeholder CommitteeBe flexible in scheduling appointments to meet the individuals' needsConsult and collaborate with all team members including psychiatrist on a regular basisComplete discharge documentation in a timely fashionTake appropriate action during a medical incident with a Renaissance participant including calling 911 in the community, at site or when a participant is calling you from an alternate locationMaintain performance expectations regarding productivityContribute to any quality improvement/outcome measurement tracking, development and data gathering as assignedComplete all required documentation in accordance with CLIENT Policies and Procedures
