Material Handler-Bindery

Freeport Press is a commercial printer of magazines, catalogs and direct mail, located in New Philadelphia, OH. We are looking for a Material Handler to stage, organize and assist in our production area. Your job will be to prepare product for production and coordinate the product flow.*If you are reliable and fast on your feet, we would like to meet you.*Job Responsibilities:* Check production schedule to make sure all material is available* Load and unload packages* Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes, etc.* Receive and check incoming pick tickets* Pull material to fulfill orders properly* Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery* Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed* Document orders, materials and any stock movementsSkills required:* Ability to follow instructions* Basic computer skillsPhysical requirements:* Ability to climb up and down on forklift, to see, to speak and to hear pages from press operators. Heavy lifting 20 to 50 pounds.Job Requirements:* Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position* Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks)* Strong communication skills* Dexterity and attention to detail* Organizational skills* Ability to meet the physical demands of the position* License to operate forklifts (we will certify)* Availability to occasionally work overtime* High school diploma or GEDPreferred:* Familiarity with warehouse picking systems or RF devices is a plusSchedule:* Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm* Weekends, as needed* Overtime may be requiredStart rate:$17.00 per hourLocation (city, state or zip code) You must select a location.
