Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.**Location:** Charlotte, NC**Your Challenge:*** Prepare, load and unload shipments including documentation and verification.* Responsible for processing all material to include examination for damage, processing discrepancies, and delivery of material to stock rooms.* Perform a variety of kitting and order functions.* Contact carriers to pick up freight.* Recommend process improvements to reduce future discrepancies.* Assist with cycle count inventory* Operate a forklift when needed* Assist with other business unit functions when needed**Your Expertise:*** High School or Equivalent required.* Forklift experience highly desired.* APICS and Green Belt certification preferred.* Computer literate and able to perform basic math.* Must be able to lift 35 - 40 lbs* Must be able to communicate effectively and follow procedures and instructions.This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
