Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our IT Support Services team. The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and supporting the operation and maintenance of the DC Child Support Enforcement System.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis: Analyze company functions, processes, and activities to identify areas for improvement in computer-based business applications.Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to the DC Child Support Enforcement System.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining processes, enhancing system functionality, and improving overall efficiency and effectiveness.Solution Recommendation: Recommend alternative solutions to management as to courses of action that best meet the organization's goals.System Design: Perform duties concerned with the design and improvement of computer-based business systems, including writing descriptions of business needs and program functions.System Evaluation: Study existing computer-based business systems to evaluate effectiveness and develop new systems to improve production or workflow as required.Collaboration: Work closely with senior managers and personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures and identify problems.Analytical Techniques: Utilize various analytical techniques, including simulation, linear and nonlinear programming, decision analysis, and the analytic hierarchy process, to analyze requirements, procedures, and problems.Project Management: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects related to the DC Child Support Enforcement System.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the government or legal sector.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.Experience with requirements gathering, process modeling, and workflow analysis.Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Familiarity with child support enforcement systems or related domains is a plus.Relevant certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, CBAP, PMI-PBA) are desirable but not required.Experience with the following software:
