Education:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT related field
Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.
Kay Skills:Software development experience using Angular and Python within a LAMP architecture.Object-Oriented programming experience such as Java and JavaScriptExperience with other software technologies such as Web Services (SOAP/REST), JSON, XML, AJAXGIS development experience is desirable with Open Layers is a plus.Postgres SQL database experience with GEO Postgres is a plus.Responsibilities
Software development with Angular, Python, Java, JavaScript, and other various scripting languagesDesign data models and web APIs and creation of software tasks from system requirementsPerform requirements analysis, design, development, unit, and integration testing of software, troubleshooting and debugging of the systemImmediate responsibilities will include enhancing and maintaining the existing system as well as design, development, and documentation of new featuresUsage of tracking tools (i.e., JIRA, Gitlab) to document day-to-day tasks within the Scrum processImplement web services, data persistence access features, and external interfacesAbility to develop in a full stack development environmentFollow Agile software development methodology and team architecture standards.Qualifications
Bachelor degree in IT related field required2+ years development experience within an Agile Scrum Team environmentMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearanceMust have development experience with Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, and PythonExperience with PostgreSQL database environments is preferred with PostGIS as an extra bonusDesired technology experience includes Java, Spring, JSON, XML, AJAX and/or Apache TomcatExperience with developing user interfaces using CSS, HTML, JavaScript (jQuery, React)Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST)Experience in CI/CD environment (i.e., Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Kubernetes) and scripting languages (Bash, Powershell, Perl) a bonus but not requiredExperience with GIS environments (i.e., QGIS, Open Layers, ArcGIS, ESRI) is a bonus but not requiredExperience with design, development, enhancement, troubleshooting and debugging of web applicationsExperience developing and integrating complex software systems through the full SDLC
