$95,000 - $135,000 Experience:
8+ years OVERVIEW Our ideal candidate will have over 8 years of extensive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater modeling, drainage facility design, and project management for both private and public sector projects. This role involves handling complex engineering design tasks, along with marketing, business development, client interaction, and leading a drainage design team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise the technical execution of various projects Prepare, manage, and coordinate schedules for multiple concurrent projects Lead the design and delivery of projects to ensure profitability Develop project plans and budget forecasts, deploying resources effectively Mentor, train, and grow staff within the company Review and interpret key business metrics such as utilization, backlog, and accounts receivable Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures Handle monthly project accounting and invoicing Oversee contract bidding processes, provide limited construction observation, and review submittals and RFIs Resolve design and field construction issues Represent clients and the company in meetings with governmental agencies Develop and track project milestones to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery Write proposals, participate in and/or lead client interviews Foster internal and external relationships with clients and strategic partners Lead business development activities and negotiate contract terms and conditions Uphold and enforce company values, policies, and practices Exhibit solid judgment, integrity, professionalism, and openness in all actions REQUIRED SKILLS
Outgoing, friendly, and approachable demeanor Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Ability to manage staff and direct resources effectively Demonstrated proficiency in managing drainage design projects profitably Understanding of various alternative delivery methods Extensive expertise in stormwater modeling software and drainage facility design Comprehensive knowledge of the full lifecycle of drainage projects, from preliminary studies to final design General construction knowledge with experience in providing construction phase services Proven success in winning and delivering projects Experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and overall management of a design team Skilled in preparing proposals, scopes of work, and qualification packages Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies Ability to establish and maintain relationships with peers, clients, and public agency staff Ability to motivate and coach others REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
BS in Civil Engineering Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in Colorado (or ability to obtain within 6 months) Over 8 years of progressive experience in the Water Resources Service and stormwater modeling/design Willingness to travel to project sites as required
