ARES Corporation seeks a candidate to support the US Air Force's Launch and Test Range System (LTRS) Integrated Support Contract (LISC). LISC ensures mission success through responsive Operations, Maintenance and Sustainment of Space and Missile Systems. As part of this team, your work will directly support efforts to successfully launch rockets into space.
This position is located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL.Essential Functions
Perform Microsoft 2003/2008/2016 systems administrator duties for a complex virtual enclave computing environmentAnalyze, log, track and resolve complex software/hardware anomalies pertaining to networking connectivity, printers, servers, and applications to meet mission needsOversee hardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure work is properly performed in accordance with company/Space Force policyOrganize, coordinate and monitor troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; document system events to ensure continuous functioningRecommend course of action and implement as approvedPerform system backups and standard administrator dutiesInterface with all levels of RGNext, Space Force, Department of Defense, Eastern Range customers and managementReview system logs for vulnerability optimization and suggest improvements and initiatives as appropriateConduct Information Assurance AssessmentsPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills
Advanced experience troubleshooting problems in a large complex environmentThorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2016 systems administration and networkingThorough knowledge of the following:

Unix system administration certification, preferredThorough knowledge of data communications protocols (TCP/IP); principles and practices of security implementation in the areas of data communications and information systems; PKI, data encryption, and encryption equipment, Firewalls; Air Force, and Department of Defense security regulations, and perimeter protection, preferredFamiliar with Information Technology on the eastern range; networks, servers, PCs, network interfaces, security concerns and postures, preferredAdditional Eligibility QualificationsDoD 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or CISSP or CASP), or ability to obtain and maintain certification within six months of employmentSome local travel may be required to meet critical operational schedulesThe flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends/holidays to support specific project or mission requirementsMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalizationValid U.S. Driver's LicenseRequired Experience
