The role supports all warehouse operations to achieve department and company goals in accordance with standard procedures and as instructed by Leadership. This position operates out of our San Diego facility, and reports to the Distribution Supervisor. Duties include, but not limited to the following:* Record the receipt of materials from suppliers as they are delivered* Receive product into inventory in the ERP system (NetSuite) and coordinate with Incoming Quality Inspection team to inspect materials* Receive non-inventory items, determine internal recipient, connect with recipient to coordinate delivery of materials to internal customer* Verify incoming receiving against the Purchase Order, and notate any discrepancies or damages* Follow special handling instructions such cold storage temperature requirements, as outlined by raw material sheet or vendor requirements.* Monitor incoming Material Requests for interdepartmental transfer. Pick requested materials from warehouse inventory, accurately record, and enter picked materials into the system. Prepare and stage transfer material for delivery.* Load and unload delivery vehicles and freight trucks using warehouse equipment such as motorized and non-motorized hand trucks, forklifts, etc.* Put Away released inventory into warehouse racking or designated storage areas and update ERP with accurate inventory locations.* Accurately enter and record inventory transfers and transactions in ERP* Use FedEx Ship Manager software (or similar) to ship parcel packages to customers* Calculate weight and dimensions of freight shipments and request pickup from freight carriers* Prepare shipping documentation such as packing lists, air waybills, etc. and perform order fulfilment in NetSuite for shipped goods* Participate in routine cycle counting and periodic full physical inventory counts, and assist with balancing inventory discrepancies* Monitor warehouse consumables and send notification when inventory is low* Maintain a clean, organized, and SAFE work environment* Follow all applicable and current Human Resources, Environmental Health and Safety, Quality/Compliance, Cal/OSHA, CLIA, & FDA policies and procedures.* Open to working overtime, and occasional weekends when required.* Follow all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:*** High School Diploma or Equivalent* 1 Year of Warehouse Experience**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities*** 2+ years of related warehouse experience, preferably in life science or biotech industry* Outstanding attention to detail* 1-2 years of Forklift Experience is advantageous* Safety oriented and safety aware* FedEx Software, and LTL freight experience preferred* Basic knowledge of MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word* Proficient Computer and typing skills* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Experience working in an ISO or FDA regulated environment* Ability to adapt and grow in a fast paced, & multifaceted work environment**Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:*** Must have valid driver license and clean driving record* Pass a pre-employment background checkAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 100,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
