Description

Malvern Community Health Services (MCHS) is currently seeking part time or full time Mobile Therapists to work in our IBHS certified program. This position is a part time position that offers a very flexible schedule.

Position Summary:

A Mobile Therapist (MT) provides individual and family therapy to the child. An MT can assist the family to promote the independence of the family in managing mental health needs and/or behavior problems. An MT develops a crisis plan with other involved professionals and the family. this position can be a full time or part time position depending on the applicants availabilty.

Provide weekly individual and family therapy interventions to client and familyCollaborate with team membersComplete all paperwork within policy time framesInitiate and attend treatment team meetings monthly with child, family and treatment teamAttend interagency meetingsProvide services within authorized amount of hours per weekAttend staff meetingsComply with all Progressions School policiesAttend sixteen (16) hours of training per yearIf not a licensed Psychologist you must attend supervision with licensed Psychologist one (1) hour a monthTravel to and from school site to perform servicesPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Licensed Mental Health Clinician, ORClinical Psychologist, ORClinical Social Worker, ORGraduate Mental Health degree and at least one (1) year full-time paid experience in a CAASP system (C&Y, JJS, MH, Special Education, D&A) or employed by a mental health services agency (only work with children and adolescents), Post Graduate DegreeClearances for Child Abuse, FBI and State CriminalCPR/First Aid Certification

Technical/Computer Skills

:Proficiency in MS OfficeIndividual and family therapy experienceKnowledge of mental health systemsMust be able to intervene and control agitated students through non-physical interventions. Hazards include risk of exposure to disease and risk of physical injury associated with psychiatric patients who have the potential to act out or lose control
