Lead Application Architect, IT (Hybrid in Durham, NC; Chicago, IL; Washington, DC or Remote)

Seeking an experienced full stack, end-to-end application architect to lead our development function in building new client-facing experiences while enhancing our Microsoft Azure and Salesforce environment.

This role reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will be responsible for building an engaging client web experience while growing our enterprise integration capabilities to better connect our existing systems. Our ideal candidate is an experienced development team leader that can build a team of FTE and contract talent to both enhance and support our existing systems while building new capabilities to support our external clients.

Essential Responsibilities

Partner with CIO and Product team to identify and implement solutions and integration platforms to support our clientsRecruit and manage backend, UI, and QA application developers, including performance management and a focus on developing, motivating, and mentoring direct reportsManage relationships with backend, UI, and QA contractorsConnect and optimize our increasingly diverse technology platforms using expert level understanding of EAI/iPaaS patterns and platformsDevelop and implement a DevOps/continuous improvement (CI/CD) operations model around the firm's existing cloud Microsoft.NET and Salesforce Apex code solutionsManage and enhance existing technology stack: Azure API Manager | Azure Data Factory | Logic Apps | Azure DevOps | SQL Server | .NET Framework | Apex | RESTful | ODATA | Azure Power Platform | SharePoint | PowerBI and PowerBI Embedded | PowerShell | Azure WebAppsDeliver a cohesive digital experience to our internal and external usersLead application development function while coordinating with project managers, infrastructure, client service, and security teams to ensure alignment to overall technology strategyProvide architectural expertise to firm's high impact technology projectsOwn SOPs and best practices around Application Development, Enterprise Integration, and DevOpslign external partner teams and developers to enterprise architecture vision through oversight and technical documentation

Other Responsibilities

Leverage network and developer communities to identify and adopt latest technologies that will keep Arabella at the innovation horizon of operational excellence

To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Need

7 years of application development experience with 3+ years of experience in leading Cloud/SaaS DevelopmentHands-on experience with EAI/iPaaS tools used for Azure integration and microservices managementComfort taking a hands-on approach to solutioning and troubleshootingTo be able to serve as a team leader and help teams assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologiesTo be able to develop and refine technology roadmaps to align with budget constraints and available talentWeb design and/or user experience (UX) training a plus
