Work with people in your community who are struggling with substance use and mental health issues. Flexible work schedule and positive, team-based atmosphere. Provide substance use counseling to help people reach their goals. Work with people to maintain their own independent housing. LCAS, LCAS-A, CADC North Carolina licensures qualify. Clinical supervision is provided. The position of Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist includes active engagement and coordination of care with internal resources including psychiatry and community support as well as external bodies including the legal system, families, and social support agencies.

$5,000 sign on bonus!

Salary Range:

$45,000.00 to $59,000.00

The position of Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist includes active engagement and coordination of care with internal resources including psychiatry and community support as well as external bodies including the legal system, families, and social support agencies.

As a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist with RHA, your responsibilities will vary based on the groups you work with and the programs through which you provide services. In all activities, you will coordinate closely with the interdisciplinary team to best help service users, including behavioral health specialists, registered nurses, quality assurance specialists, paraprofessionals and the Clinical Director.

Job Responsibilities:Work with people in your community who are struggling with substance use and mental health issues.

Provide substance use counseling to help people reach their goals.

Work with people to maintain their own independent housing.

Running individual therapy sessions.

Orienting new service users to RHA

Developing person-centered plans for service users

Oversee the discharge planning process

Facilitating relationships between RHA, service user families/legal guardians and various social service community resources, such as food stamp and housing assistance, healthcare, job training and placement and substance abuse support groups

Excellent communicator and listener with strong therapeutic skills who works well as part of an interdisciplinary team and runs open and productive therapy sessions.

Excel at behavioral interviewing techniques to uncover service user needs and be able to anticipate these needs.

Job Requirements:

Valid licensure to provide mental/behavioral healthcare in the state of North Carolina

License include: CCS, LCAS, LCAS-A, CADC in North Carolina *Clinical supervision is provided.

Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals with mental and/or behavioral health issues that include writing

Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
