VES is seeking a motivated and experienced Recruiter to join our dynamic Recruiting Team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of how military experience translates to a civilian job description in order to match candidates with relevant job opportunities. The individual in this position will participate in sourcing, conducting candidate outreach, screening and assessing candidates, as well as engaging with candidates and managing relationships. The ideal person must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. The individual should have experience with military culture, ranks, occupational specialties, and transition programs. The individual must also have an understanding of technical skills and qualifications relevant to engineering, IT, cybersecurity, or related military fields.
This position is
remote ; however, this position requires residence in the greater Washington DC Metro area. This position is part-time (10-20 hours per a week). Flexible work hours within our core business hours of 8am to 5pm.
Travel: less than 10% and may include local recruiting events
Required Experience
5+ years of relevant recruiting experienceProven ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesExperience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment softwarePrior Military service or a strong understanding of military terms and backgroundPro-active nature and forward-thinking mindsetTeam player willing to take on other tasks and projects as needed
Desired Experience
Bachelor's degreeExperience sourcing and placing military veterans
