About the Opportunity:Start Date:
ASAPSchedule: Up to 14 hours
Monday to FridayHours:
9am to 5pm (with a 1 hour unpaid lunch)Setting:
Support CenterPatient Population:
Adults (Ages 18+ year) with mental health issuesThe nurse will be provided with an unlimited MetroCardResponsibilities:The Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) will:
Conduct groups and individual sessions in the clinic setting and in the communityProvide ongoing clinical services to assigned caseload and provide consultation for clients who may need services or are in need of short term clinical interventionsProvide services in an evidence based manner to encourage retention in servicesRefer to additional services as appropriate.Function within an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality and evidenced based servicesParticipate in interdisciplinary team case conferences.Participate in internal and external committeesParticipate in internal and external CQI projectsProvide supervision to students based on agency needPerform other duties, consistent with the goals and objectives of the program, as directed by DirectorQualifications:
CASAC, Advance CASAC, Master Level CASAC (Dual Bachelor or Masters preferred)Must be outcome oriented in a fast paced environment with deadlines
