Position Summary

Manages medium to large-sized building projects or sub-projects in the facilities capital program and other non-capital projects of up to $20 million in value. Assists design professionals in the development of preliminary and detailed drawings for building construction projects.

Salary

Min $71,593.60 annually

Mid $104,020.80 annually

Oversight of design process to include all phases; Maintaining of project budget and schedule; Maintaining project scope requirements.Oversight of capital projects during construction to include bidding; Issuance of Notices; Maintaining project budget and schedule; Review of changes; Issuance of Substantial and Final Completion; and project close-out.Provide biweekly updates of project status to management, follow-up with monthly reports and review meetings with User Agencies for the Fire Services, Government Services, Library Services and Parks Facilities capital programs.Oversight of project development and planning, including project initiations for capital funding. Develop scopes of work, program and budgets which meet the User Agency's needs.Assist User Agency with project delivery for unscheduled or emergency projects.Working Conditions

Primarily indoor office environment, hours may vary depending on public meetings, training and jobsite functions that occur after regular hours. Outside exposure to jobsite conditions during construction inspections.

Physical Demands

Includes driving, standing, walking, climbing, pulling, lifting on occasion, primarily associated with construction site inspections.

Nature of Work

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from accredited four-year degree granting college or university with a degree in Architecture, related field - OR -An equivalent combination of education (not less than a high school diploma/GED), training and experience.Minimum 10 years' experience in the practice of project management in the building design and construction field.Technical competency with computer applications including CAD.Maintain a valid State of Florida vehicle license.Key Job Requirements
