We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Engineer/Administrator with a strong background in managing and optimizing Jira and Confluence within a cloud-hosted enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall health, maintenance, and enhancement of our Atlassian ecosystem. This role involves addressing open tickets, managing technical debt, evaluating and optimizing add-ons, and automating processes to improve efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance and Support:
Own the Atlassian environment, ensuring its stability and performance.Address and resolve open tickets related to Jira and Confluence.Manage and reduce technical debt within the Atlassian ecosystem.
Optimization and Efficiency:
Evaluate the usage of add-ons, identify redundancies, and optimize their utilization.Implement right-sizing strategies for Jira and Confluence instances.Automate repetitive tasks and processes to enhance productivity.
User Access and Provisioning:
Automate user access to Jira and Confluence where appropriate.Provision users as needed, ensuring appropriate access levels.Manage access requests from departments like Marketing and Sales on an ad-hoc basis.
Workflow Management:
Engage with users to understand their workflow requirements and provide expert advice.Assess complex workflow requests and determine feasibility and best practices.Educate users on the implications of their requests and recommend optimal solutions.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing Jira and Confluence in an enterprise, cloud-hosted environment.
Technical Skills:
Extensive experience with Jira and Confluence administration.Proficiency in Atlassian add-ons and plugins management.Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., using Python, Bash, or Groovy).Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Strong communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Atlassian certifications (e.g., Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator, Atlassian Certified Confluence Administrator).Experience with other Atlassian tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, or Trello.Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and agile methodologies.
