We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Network Engineer
to join our client's team. This role will primarily focus on Cisco routers and switches while also requiring expertise in LAN/WAN or MPLS connections.
As a
Network Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining Cisco-based network infrastructure to ensure the seamless operation of our client's networks. You will also play a crucial role in optimizing LAN/WAN or MPLS connections, ensuring high performance, reliability and security.
Network Engineer Responsibilities:Design, configure and manage Cisco routers and switches to meet client requirements and ensure network reliability and performanceDeploy and support network equipment, ensuring proper installation, configuration and testingDiagnose and resolve network issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptionsImplement and maintain security measures to protect the network against vulnerabilities and cyber threatsContinuously monitor network performance and implement improvements as needed to meet service-level agreements (SLAs)Manage and optimize LAN/WAN or MPLS connections, ensuring efficient data transfer and connectivityMaintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network alignment with business objectives and provide technical expertise to support project initiativesWork with vendors to procure network equipment and services, negotiate contracts and stay updated on the latest technologiesStay current with industry trends and certifications, actively pursuing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Network Engineer Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent Cisco certificationsStrong experience in configuring and managing Cisco routers and switchesProficiency in LAN/WAN or MPLS technologies and protocolsKnowledge of network security principles and best practicesExcellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressureStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with network monitoring and management toolsProven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamAny additional certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNA) a plus
