Overview

We are seeking a full-time

Material Handler

in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, inputting data, processing shipping, consumer and retail returns, tracking orders and other inventory movement, reboxing units for return to stock, and reworking/repairing product with accuracy while maintaining a safe and clean warehouse work environment.

Essential FunctionsAbility to flex within warehouse functions including Raw Materials, Reverse Logistics and Finished GoodsMay be responsible for accuracy of inventory, transactions, and material movementMay pull/audit material as required for KANBAN, shop order, move order or sales order requirementsMay issue/transact material requested through material withdrawal formsMay receive, transact, and sort inbound materialMay do replenishment of material into primary picking locationsMay ensure First in/First Out (FIFO) and Last in/First Out (LIFO) policies are adhered to as defined in departmental proceduresMay follow Electronic Static Discharge (ESD) guidelines for static sensitive materials if applicableMay pack materials to ensure adequate delivery to internal/external customersMay be responsible to perform cycle counts as requiredMay need the ability to operate RF device to transact and move materialMust meet quality/productivity metricsPerform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environmentMust meet all safety standards/policiesAbility to accept responsibility for work assignments and job duties and to be held accountable for their successful completionAbility to work variable and flexible hours including overtimeCompliance with Garmin's Attendance PolicyAbility to operate one or two pieces of powered industrial equipment safely/efficiently such as a dock stocker or powered pallet jack depending on departmental responsibilitiesMust possess the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift, and walking long distances throughout the facilityMust possess the ability to visually distinguish minor cosmetic imperfections and defects on Garmin productsMiramar location specific:

May receive product into the Customer Repair system including sorting and opening customer productsMay operate standard test equipment and conduct functional, operational and/or environmental tests on productsMay exchange JL products by transferring customer data and ensure excellent attention to detailMay test units to ensure functionalityBasic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

OR

equivalent combination of education and experienceMust possess the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift, and walking long distances throughout the facilityAbility to use RF ScannerDemonstrated computer proficiencyDesired Qualifications

Previous warehouse or related experienceDatabase experience including Microsoft Excel and AccessPrevious Oracle Experience
