The Buckeye Ranch is seeking an Attorney to join our Permanent Family Solutions Network! Permanent Family Solutions Network (PFSN) is a department of The Buckeye Ranch. PFSN has a managed care contract with Franklin County Children Services (FCCS) to provide and coordinate direct care services to families. PFSN is seeking a staff attorney to represent PFSN in Franklin County Juvenile Court in abuse, neglect, dependency, unruly, and delinquency cases. The job duties include representing the legal interest of PFSN on a daily basis; drafting motions and complaints; advising PFSN staff on legal issues regarding PFSN; training new workers; tracking cases; organizing and preparing docket system; facilitating permanency planning meetings.

Schedule: Full-time, Exempt (Monday-Friday)

Location: Whitehall, OH

What you'll do:

Ensure that PFSN has legal representation in all post-dispositional cases, and pre-disposition case upon request.Assist new caseworkers with court procedure and court presentation.Assess and respond to difficult legal situation that may arise on the juvenile floor Service.Provide regular legal trainings to PFSN staff.File emergency custody orders.Effectively plan, manage, and achieve project milestones, quality, customer satisfaction, budget and profitability. Execute disciplined approach and standards for project communications, resource planning and issue resolution processes to ensure success.Reviews all CARR forms and follows up with the case worker as necessary to the status of the case or certain orders to FCCS/PFSN; prepares all motions complaints and findings of fact and conclusions of law on behalf of PFSN.

Who you are:

You have a Juris Doctorate degreeYou have 3-5 years of experience in Juvenile LawYou are licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio (Supreme Court Registration renewed every 2 years; Certified with the Ohio Bar Association)You have an active Ohio driver's license
