A Typical Day

We are seeking a

Product Owner

to manage complex projects that involve multiple integrated business systems, interfacing across departments and/or divisions. As the

Product Owner

, you will collaborate with System Developers and Business Subject Matter Experts on application changes, development, and deployment.

The

Product Owner

will:

Manage, direct and coordinate the daily activities of the business analyst team. Train product analysts in all aspects of the productlifecycle from initiation to closing, to ensure that the technical solution meets business needs

Plan, direct, and coordinate the business-analysis aspects of an information technology project, including on-going production supportand training

Leads organizational analysis efforts to identify current capabilities, opportunities for improvement and drives measurement, prioritizationand implementation of identified opportunities

Responsible for managing complex, high profile projects that involve multiple integrated business systems, interfacing across departmentsand/or divisions to accomplish projects and activities

Translates business knowledge into well-defined goals and objectives, problems and opportunities, and desired outcomes

Creates operational efficiencies by creating and initiating new Business processes and serves as a domain expert by being conversant inend-to-end business functions

Review and approve business analysis related documentation including: requirements, current and future state processes and workflows,report specifications and others

Manages the engagement from multiple stakeholders to ensure prompt and quality deliverables

Interact and coordinate with system developers and business subject matter experts on application changes, development, and deployment

Writes, communicates and vets requirements and user stories with business leaders using different approaches such as use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and state charts, data dictionaries, class or entity relationship diagrams to ensure complete understanding by business leaders/executives while working with an Agile framework

Identifies and manages stakeholders and teams of people across functional areas to implement a project by understanding key stakeholders authority and influence as it pertains to business process

Works effectively inside a Scrum or Kanban team

Develop and motivate staff to maximize full potential and ensure the mission readiness of all team members

Conduct and participate in Scrum ceremonies and retrospectives

Provide regular verbal and written reports to senior management

Collaborates with Tech Leads and UAT to define when user stories are done

Develop and maintain solid partnerships with project managers, business and IT leads, and other key stakeholders

Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning

Owns and leads backlog grooming sessions for ongoing roadmap planning

Maintains business project documentation and creates and presents regular reports to department and executive leadership

Supports the product manager in strategic decisions including revenue opportunities or cost saving initiatives

Plan, develop, oversee, execute and certify changes by establishing rigorous test plan through design and implementation phases andtracking test results to ensure changes are complete and accurate to finalized requirements

Perform other related duties as required and assigned

What You’ll Bring

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience

10+ years of Agile experience

Experience with managing, staffing, and mentoring analyst teams

Experience managing multiple programs or projects with a high degree of complexity and scope

Understanding of leading practices in business analysis, project management and process improvement

Data Management experience and database knowledge preferred

Knowledge of software systems preferred

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills

Highly proficient in the G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)

Knowledge of BI Tools a plus

Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence or similar tools required

Must be a team player with strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently

Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment

Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and mathematical skills, and sound judgment

Must be able to work across multiple projects at one time, and collaborate with other teams to ensure deliverables are done on time

Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management

SQL Server/.NET experience a plus

XML/EDI experience a plus

Compensation:

Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

Salary
