Serves as a gatekeeper of the organization's data. Creates databases, tables, queries, reports, and dashboards by combining data from multiple sources so stakeholders can understand data and use it to make strategic business decisions. Lead the process of collecting and reporting on data to maximize the utility of the Workforce Solutions Management Information System. Common functions of analysts include working with fellow data and systems analysts and user teams to leverage analytical tools, including Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft SQL Server to collect data, design and create databases, dashboards, alerts, and reports to support business performance

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creates SQL queries to select and work with data from multiple relational databasesDesign and build dashboards, reports, and supporting data tables in Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft PowerBIPublish these dashboards and reports to usersIdentifies and documents process improvement opportunities and creates reports and data tools to take advantage of these opportunitiesEvaluates new data tools for implementation by staffDesigning and maintaining data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems.Mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing said data in a format that can be easily accessible to the organization.Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.Collaborating with end users and team members to identify opportunities for improvement.Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.Using analytical tools to create dashboards with various methods of visualizing data.Professionally represents the Agency to career office operators, the Gulf Coast Workforce Board, and Houston-Galveston Area Council staffMaintains a mature problem-solving attitude while dealing with interpersonal conflict or time demandsEnsures department compliance functions are supported with adequate reportsEstablish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.Performs other duties as may be assignedEXPERIENCE AND SKILLSETS FOR EARLY CARE & EDUCATION:

Educational Background:

A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is highly preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience in teaching or working with young children, preferably in early childhood education settings.

Certifications:

Obtaining relevant certifications, such as Child Development Associate (CDA) or similar credentials, is a plus.

Practical Training:

Practical training or internships in early care education settings to gain hands-on experience in implementing educational strategies for young learners.

Specialized Training:

Training in areas like early literacy, developmental psychology, and behavior management to address specific needs in early care education.
