Job Description
Software Developers -- We're building a dynamic engineering team supporting a premier program. Seeking candidates who are highly motivated to put their knowledge into play developing, deploying and maintaining advanced, complex operational networks. Seeking talent for full time onsite positions in the Lorton, VA area. Clearance requirement: Active Secret clearance.
What You'll Be Doing:Identifying technical strategies to interconnect disparate software applications by authoring original software programsDesigning and authoring original software applications from a high level, non-specific set of concepts provided by the governmentWriting programs that achieve a desired outcome or workflow from nothing more than observation of desired outcomes, workflows, or from vague original conceptsProducing specifications and design documentation including: Process flow, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, physical architecture, system and web service interface specifications, data dictionary, data modelCreating project work estimatesImplementing solutions and identify operational or management issuesSystems designing, policy development, and database development and management, and user interface developmentUtilizing available Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software to the maximum extent practicable in designing software applications, avoiding implementation of a proprietary systemDuties involved:
Front-end Development, implementation and optimization of the user interface componentsTransition, modernize, and sustain the main code base of the applicationCollaborate to implement new features, enhance existing functionality, and address any technical debt to ensure the application meets evolving mission requirementsTransition activities to include requirement reviews and assessments, backlog reviews, documentation review, development environment and tooling standupSupport demonstrations at sprint and product increment reviewsQualifications

Four (4) year college degree in software development or computer scienceIn lieu of education, ten (10) years of experience of software development for systems in a production environment.Experience to include:
Five (5) years' experience of software development for systems in a production environmentMust be familiar with a variety of scripts, programming languages, and operating systems. Examples of relevant computer programming languages currently used to design and deploy components that include, but are not limited to: C#, Python, PowerShell, ASP.NET, SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Microservices ArchitectureExpertise in front-end technologies ensures a seamless and responsive user experience across various devices and platforms.Preferred Skills:
