Cloud Data EngineerCollaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze data engineering requirements.Define data sources, data formats, and data processing needs.Design a scalable and efficient cloud-based data engineering architecture.Choose appropriate cloud services and tools for data storage, processing, and analysis.Develop a detailed data flow diagram and system architecture documentation.Implement data integration processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the cloud environment.Ensure data quality and integrity during the integration process.Set up and configure cloud-based data storage solutions.Optimize data storage for performance, cost, and scalability.Implement data processing pipelines for efficient analysis and transformation.Utilize cloud-based processing frameworks for distributed computing.Implement security measures to safeguard data during transit and at rest.Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.Set up monitoring tools to track system performance and data quality.Establish regular maintenance procedures for system updates and enhancements.Provide comprehensive documentation for the implemented dataRequirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.3+ years of experience in cloud data engineering using Google Cloud Platform.Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.Experience with ETL tools and processes.Strong understanding of data security and compliance.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.Experience with version control systems like Git.Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Experience with monitoring and logging tools.Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts is a plus.This position will work remotely but will need to go onsite to our client's location for meetings as needed.
