Jefferies US Fixed Income, Electronic Trading Technology Team seeks a Senior-Level Technologist specializing in E-Trading technology. Individuals should have at least 10+ years of experience implementing large-scale E-Trading applications across multiple geographical regions.

ResponsibilitiesDesign & development of the firm's proprietary, high-performance FI E-Trading platform encompassing all fixed-income products.Work alongside traders, sales, and quantitative analysts to specify and build out real-time trading applications that electronically execute orders across multiple ECNs.Work with the business management team and desk heads to drive project requirements and prioritization.Drive implementation and design with an emphasis on high availability, scalability, and reusabilityWork with other Fixed Income front office team leads to promote framework reusability across all businesses.Balance time to market (client delivery) with proper governance, compliance, and audit mandatesMentor junior developerEducation

BS/MS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relatedRequired Background

10+ years' experience in front office system development supporting the US Rates E-Trading business.In-depth knowledge of US Rates Product Offering (Treasury, Swap and Agency)In-depth understanding of Dealer-to-Client market protocol (TradeWeb, Bloomberg, and MarketAxess)In-depth understanding of Dealer-to-Dealer market structureIn-depth knowledge of building auto-quoter and auto-hedgerAbility to learn and adapt quickly.Willingness to learn new programming languages and technologies.Ability to work well with business managers, traders, and developers.Excellent problem-solving skills.Required Technical Skills

Extensive experience in Java and Multithreading programmingKnowledge of low latency and event-driven programming.Knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot.Knowledge of Microservice-based architecture.Unix shell scripting.Databases: Oracle, Postgres, MSSQLTools: Atlassian Suite (Jira/Bitbucket/Bamboo/Confluence), Maven, Strong DevOps skills.Desired Experience/Skills:

Broad spectrum knowledge of Financial IT environmentsExperience from a similar position within Front OfficeFixed Income Credit & Rates trading system experience.Knowledge of ION MarketView API and platform.Knowledge of AMPS, KDB, Messaging Systems (such as JMS, MQ, Tibco, etc.), Ion Trading, Fix, and/or similar technologiesKnowledge of Python, HTML5, React/JavaScript/OpenfinKnowledge of AWS services (S3, RedShift, Postgres, EC2, Glue)Knowledge of Kafka (AWS MSK or Confluent)

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $220,000-250,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
