PURPOSE OF JOB : The Accountability Data Analyst is responsible for data analysis, analytics, and reporting information impacting school accountability, evaluation, and performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Accountable for basic and complex statistical analysisCreate and maintain data files to analyze data and report information to meet critical district prioritiesCreate spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to conduct and illustrate trend analysisTransform/compile data from a variety of sources and format into data acceptable for analysisAnalyze and interpret large and complex data sets and metricsWorks in collaboration with the Research and Assessment teamConduct a review of high-priority data files to make required corrections reported to Core Data and School LeadershipTransform data from a variety of sources and formats into data acceptable for analysis software and spreadsheet analysesSynthesize information from multiple resources, conduct trend analyses, and prepare charts and graphs to illustrate data trendsDesign and develop standard, ad-hoc, and custom accountability reports as needed for reporting, evaluation, and analysis for various stakeholdersEvaluate the quality of data, troubleshoot, and make necessary adjustmentsEvaluate the strengths, weaknesses, and limitations of given datasets or metricsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a bachelor's degree or job-related experienceThree years' experience in educational data analysis and problem-solving with large amounts of dataKnowledge of research and evaluation design, including application of appropriate statistical procedures, data analysis, and interpretation of resultsExperience in the use of Microsoft computer applications and statistical analysis software (SPSS preferred)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree or job-related experience within a specialized field of Student Information Systems, preferably Infinite Campus

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Length of work year: 12 months 7.5 hours per day/ 5 days per week; 260 workdays
Benefits: Health and Dental Insurance are provided.
KCPS Defined Benefit Pension plan - mandatory 9% contribution is required from employee and matched by KCPS; Voluntary retirement savings plans are also available.
