Montauk Renewables, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNTK) is a renewable energy company specializing in the management, recovery, and conversion of biogas into RNG. The Company captures methane, preventing it from being released into the atmosphere, and converts it into either RNG or electrical power for the electrical grid ("Renewable Electricity"). The Company, headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has more than 30 years of experience in the development, operation, and management of landfill methane-fueled renewable energy projects. The Company has current operations at 15 operating projects located in California, Idaho, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Texas. The Company sells RNG and Renewable Electricity, taking advantage of Environmental Attribute premiums available under federal and state policies that incentivize their use.

Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst will help deliver actionable data to end-users within the company to guide decisions and derive actionable insight. An ideal candidate would be humble, curious, and proactive in looking for new solutions and in learning new skills. Required in-office minimum 2 days a week.

General Responsibilities:

Synthesize large volumes of data and maintain SQL databases for RNG and Electric operating facilities.Work with other departments/functions to create specific data-driven reports requiring extensive backend data manipulation and calculations.Promote a data-driven organization and empower teams with actionable data and with automated and intuitive reports.Create usable SQL queries and expressions within the databases and associated SSMS/PowerBI reports.Construct and maintain all site-level data pipelines and data flows from operations facilities.Support ongoing efforts to ensure datapoints are applied to all relative database locations and document their use in production environments.Create and maintain documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for the organization.Identify the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability.Provide the first line of support and problem resolution for technology products or applications.Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance with organization's computer systems or PCs; resolves customer inquiries for one or more products or services.Day-to-day support activities including ticket creation and resolution.Key Responsibilities:

Database Management:Upkeep and manage internal SQL databases using SSMS, including extensive SQL code queries, jobs, and stored procedures.Ensure data integrity, performance, and security of SQL databases.Conduct regular database maintenance, backup, and recovery procedures.Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.Data Analysis and Modelling:Conduct in-depth data analysis and modeling using data from renewable gas and electric energy plants across the country.Synthesize large volumes of data and complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.Support various departments with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.Regulatory Compliance:Work closely with Environmental and Operations departments to ensure all data complies with state regulations and requirements.Maintain documentation of data compliance procedures and standards.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Develop strong partnerships across the company, including Engineering, Operations, Finance, and more.Collaborate with team members to collect data and support the company's mission and goals.Business Intelligence Support:Provide support for the development and management of business intelligence solutions.Assist in creating and maintaining reports using SSRS and PowerBI to support business decision-making.Technical Support and Process Improvement:Provide the first line of support and problem resolution for database-related issues.Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance with SQL database systems.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance database operations.Vendor and Partnership Management:Meet with vendors and business partners to advance relationships and create valuable partnerships for the company.Evaluate and implement new database technologies and tools in collaboration with the IT department.Travel and Auditing:Travel to various site locations to conduct internal IT auditing and ensure data transfer operates in efficient and secure manner.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate is expected to have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or a minimum of 3 years of experience in the information technology and energy industry or comparable experience and education. 3-5 years of experience as a data analyst preferred.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

Physical Demands:

• Required to be able to stand, sit, walk, and lift light objects up to 50 pounds

• Ability to walk over uneven terrain

• Up to 15% travel as needed
