*This is a permanent, W2 position and will consist of a hybrid schedule. The Mainframe Software Developer must be within 2 hours of Woodlawn, MD.
Key Required Skills:
Z/OS Mainframe Development, COBOL, JCL, and REXX, relational databases DB2 and nonrelational mainframe storage technology, automated unit testing, TDD, BDD.
Position Description:Develop JCL and software code using customer-defined standards and software engineering best practicesAnalyze root causes for batch job failures, take appropriate corrective steps to resolve issues in a timely fashion, and share findings with the teamEvaluate impacts of database schema changes on existing software componentsBrief management, customer, team, or vendors using written or oral skills at an appropriate technical level for the audiencePrepare or update documentation as neededActively participate in peer reviews of project artifactsAll other duties as assigned or directedSkills Requirements:
