Visit our website www.johnstonesupply.com/storefront/aboutus.ep for more information about our growing company.**Position responsibilities include:*** Ships product into the Allentown Distribution Center by unloading trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet or by hand.* Ensures shipments received are in good condition and accurate by: inspecting freight for damage and signing freight bills; verifying quantity ordered versus quantity received; checking all shipments against packing lists; and completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.* Ensures all required product has verified bar code labels and human readable Johnstone stock numbers by scanning products, printing labels, resolving labeling discrepancies, and completing necessary paperwork.* Operates a reach truck and/or order picker equipment in a safe and efficient manner to put away, pick,move, locate, stack checked in products to correct storage locations on a daily basis. This includes stocking picking stock, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, checking for product mixing, and rotating product where needed; monitoring stock on shelves or bins; replenishing picking stock from reserves; maintaining control of products in reserve stock area; and monitoring "Pull Tickets" and giving priority to Shipping department requests.* Operates a reach truck and/or order picker in a safe and efficient manner to pick and process store orders on a daily basis.* Fills store orders by picking orders according to section number, packing items into cartons and stacking them in a manner that minimizes shipping damage, entering items into scan gun, and completing necessary paperwork.* Ensures all required product has verified bar code labels and human readable Johnstone stock numbers.* Maintains current department accuracy and efficiency standards, and follows department standard operating procedures.* Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current Distribution safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.**Position qualifications:*** Previous forklift experience.* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.* Ability to follow instructions and procedures.* Ability to organize and prioritize work.* Ability to attend to details.* Ability to get along with others in the workplace.* Ability to complete routine paperwork.Johnstone Supply is strongly interested in hiring a great candidate that exhibits work behaviors & values that are conducive to building and maintaining a strong and effective company culture.
