Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician (2nd Shift) , you will be an instrumental part of the Bandwidth Network Operations Center (NOC). The ideal candidate will investigate and troubleshoot the various equipment, applications and tools that support Bandwidth's voice and messaging network infrastructure. This role requires individuals to display diligence and quickly learn skillsets ranging from IP networking to VoIP knowledge in a complex troubleshooting environment.*Typical work week will be 5 day shifts of 8 hours with lunch (3:00 PM - 12:00 AM ET)What You'll Do:Perform identification classification, and prioritization of incidents affecting the Bandwidth networkCreate and maintain trouble tickets with service providers and internal teams to drive incidents to resolutionPerform tasks associated with resolving high-priority incidents; coordinating troubleshooting bridge, engaging internal resources and service providersTake ownership of each incident and perform escalations where requiredPerform standardized repair procedures in the networkFollow processes and procedures provided by senior NOC personnel
What You Need:Bachelors degree or relevant work experience1-3 years working in a network operations environmentUnderstanding of carrier network technologiesPossess excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detailFlexibility to work additional shifts where requiredStrongly self-motivated, willing to overcome challenging problems and identify new opportunities for process improvementAbility to prioritize work while multi-taskingAbility to work independently and take ownership of issues with limited supervisionExcellent written and oral communication
Bonus Points:2 or 4 year Technical degree or experience working in a technical environmentTechnical industry certifications are a plusTechnical troubleshooting experience
