Description
Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer who shall be responsible for creating, sustaining, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows including data storage, data transport, data management, data security, data compliance, and knowledge store management.
Additional tasking shall include working with the mission customer to perform exploratory data analysis on raw data to clean, enrich, transform and convert the raw data into the required formats. The Software Engineer shall also be responsible for devising methods to improve existing operational data flow processing, distribution, and reliability.
RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityNine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Required Skills:Experience using the Linux CLIExperience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flowsExperience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute dataExperience developing custom NiFi processorsExperience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and PrometheusExperience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible (Puppet and SaltStack acceptable)Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)Desired Skills:General HPC technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage componentsExperience with Corporate data flow processes and toolsExperience with Corporate data security and compliance procedures and policiesExperience writing scripts using Bash/PythonThis position is open for direct hires only.
