NOC Technician II - Network Operation Center

Qualified applicant will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining Wireless Systems nationwide. Included in his/her work, will be service/support of the CTS Operations, Engineering and Product Development groups as well as supporting periodic maintenance of supported sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The NOC Technician 2 will work under the direction of the NOC Manager to meet daily requirements of the Network Operations Support Center. His/her role includes dynamic response to system alerts and alarms for all systems being monitored through the NOC. Proficient in the diagnostics for LAN/WAN Network, WLAN and DAS and Private Wireless/LTE and 5G related systems, the Technician II will coordinate appropriate triage, response, dispatch, and repair of any system in alarm to include communication with internal and external customers. Concurrently, Technician II will be responsible for maintaining system databases, ticketing, maintenance dispatching, billing support, administrative support, and other requirements as detailed by the NOC Manager.

Responsibilities:Monitoring all supported wireless infrastructure and providing level one and two troubleshootingCreate, monitor, and close trouble tickets for alarms to include all documentation of troubleshooting steps, analysis findings and executed resolution steps.Maintain contractual SLAs for in a timely resolution by local personnelProvide trend analysis on alarmsSupport local technicians remotely with troubleshooting capabilitiesProgram new equipment into the monitoring system.Updating monitoring system to reflect current DAS configurationsUpdate and maintain NOC site as well as ACE and NET sitesBe familiar with all CTS supported DAS equipment OEMsAssist with programming and maintaining firewall and demark points for system monitoringAssist in support and maintenance of CTS personnel certification trackingCreate and maintain standard operating procedures for CTSMentor regional techs in proper use of ticketing tools, driving incident resolutionProcess and assist with RMA of equipmentTrack spare equipment by location company wideAssist with tracking and calibration of toolsRequired Skills:

Ability to travel when required (~15%)Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of the priority of fully completing projects is demanded.Distributed Antenna System (DAS) experienceStrong verbal and written communication capabilities as well as a desire to mentor and teach field technicians in the application of troubleshooting and repairing systems.Office and Field experience in case by case resolution of network and/or system issuesExcellent computer skills and full working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Visio, and iBwave platforms.

Experience:

2 plus years' experience in systems / network monitoring / analysis as well as a working knowledge of CTS Operations Standards and Fiber/Passive DAS and WLAN systems.

Education:

Shouldhave A+, Security +, Network + / Server +, or equivalent or higher accredited certifications / degree.
