Hillcrest Children and Family Center is looking for licensed professionals to join our growing school-based program!

Position Summary:

The School Based Mental Health Therapist is responsible for the coordination of service delivery to clients with mental health concerns and in providing the following core services primarily (but not limited to) the school setting: diagnostic and assessment, counseling and psychotherapy, community support, mental health prevention, awareness, and intervention. This may include providing support and training to teachers, administrators, and parents; raising awareness of mental health issues on a broader level to de-stigmatize mental health issues, provide support for student Individualized Education Program's (IEP) and Behavioral Intervention Plan's (BIP).

We are seeking for FT therapists

LGSW or LGPC, LICSW or LPC.

Reportability

This position will report directly to the Senior Clinical Manager of School-Based Mental Health.

Essential Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the professional educational team (teachers, principals, school counselors, etc.) to meet student needs and remove mental health and behavioral barriers to learning.Conduct diagnostic assessments and gather information from various sources.Determine DSM-5 diagnoses.Complete treatment plans and authorizations as required by insurance payers.Provide individual, group, and family therapy in school and home settingMaintain ongoing contact with families to update them on clients' progress.Apply crisis management skills as needed.Conduct workshops for teachers and parents on early warning signs of mental health disorders.Implement student curriculums on stress management, suicide prevention, and substance abuse.Provide classroom management consultations for teachers.Conduct universal screenings for early identification of mental health issues.Participate in school support teams to promote student wellness.Complete and review treatment and crisis plans regularly.Administer the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS) and other assessments.Document all contacts, referrals, and necessary information within 24 hours.Respect cultural diversity and integrate family values into treatment.Maintain accurate and comprehensive client records.Complete billing and documentation within 24 hours.Meet weekly billing expectations.Comply with state and federal confidentiality regulations.Maintain monthly statistics and provide reports to the Manager/Program Director.Participate in case reviews, treatment team meetings, and organizational meetings.Engage in training and committees for professional growth.Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of School-Based Mental Health.Adhere to all school and Hillcrest personnel policies.Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Licensed (LGPC, LGSW, LPC, LICSW) in the District of Columbia. Proficient communication in English required; Spanish or another language preferred but not required. Working knowledge of Windows and Word; knowledge of patient confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulation.Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear.Must be able to lift objects up to 25 pounds.Work Environment:

Report daily to assigned school setting.May be exposed to extreme cold, heat, and humidity due to outside weather conditions.Benefits:
