Our model of education utilizes popular education methodology to train community health promoters who are trusted by their peers. CASA also addresses the need for improved access to preventive and primary health care by providing a multilingual telephone and walk-in health and social service navigation program designed to inform community members of available services, and help them enroll in the public or community benefit program for which they are eligible. Additionally, CASA provides medical interpreting services for limited English speakers and partners with local health departments to combat the spread of infectious diseases and chronic illnesses disproportionately impacting immigrant, indigenous, black and brown working-class communities.
