What you will do

Role Overview:

The Service & Materials Associate is responsible for negotiating and writing vendor contracts for services including the development, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of wind farms.

Main responsibilities:

Create, implement, and manage a competitive bid process for all services and materials required by EDPR NAAssist Services & Materials Procurement Manager with the development of contracting strategies and processes for tendering Requests for Proposals (RFPs), reviewing and leveling vendor proposals, and negotiating contracts that result in the best value possibleServe as liaison between the Procurement, Development, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and Asset Management departmentsDevelop and manage purchasing plans and strategies relating to development, construction, and operation of the company's wind farmsManage relationships and interfaces with suppliers during the RFP processMaintain responsibility for bid evaluations, commercial and contractual negotiations, and contract approval prior to contract finalizationAssist with the creation and documentation of a competitive bid process that can be used at all levels of the organizationAssist with the contract awards process and presentation of award recommendations to managementAssist with the training of personnel in negotiations and contract managementAssist with the development of standardized processes and templates for all contracting effortsManage documentation, contracts, budgets, schedules, engineering and construction interfaces, project controls, project correspondence, and project reportingOrganize and prepare agendas for meetings between suppliers and Procurement personnelIssue and administer purchase orders to vendors and ensures receipt of acceptance copy to complete the contractMaintain effective communication with all team membersParticipate in the engineering, design, and construction review processAdditional duties as required

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field3+ years of related technical, engineering, construction management, or industry manufacturing experience, including experience negotiating contracts for equipment and servicesExperience with contract management and procurement preferredThorough knowledge of the competitive bid process for construction, engineering, and operations services and of negotiation techniquesProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and familiarity with e-enabled supply chain systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/PartnerTravel:

10% as needed
