Responsibilities

Primary

Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programsEvaluate trainer performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvementPlan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetingsEstablish and maintain a positive collaborative rapport with all members of managementConfer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factorsDevelop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materialsDevelop testing and evaluation proceduresTrain the trainers and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employeesAssist in accident reviews and investigations to evaluate and modify associated training activities for improvementsRequest temporary workforce needs from staffing agenciesFacilitate orientation for permanent employees and temporary workforceAssist in placing temporary workforce in departments based on operational needsSecondary

Conduct annual reviews for driver validation and periodic reviews for departmental trainingMaintain compliance with training program and ensures record keeping is compliantCoordinate with departments on training of new hires and follow up on driver trainingEnsure training materials are available as needed and employee training classes are adequately conducted to meet designated requirementsRoutinely audit training records to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policiesTertiary

Work with internal and external customers to meet and exceed customer expectationsOther Duties as assignedQualifications

Skills

Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you & ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.Ability to speak to groups of 30+ people and provide training for company to convey information effectively.Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.Ability to communicate with management and provide feedback and training results.Excellent management of one's own time and the time of others.Excellent computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Excellent organization and record-keeping skills.Education & Experience

High School Diploma/G.E.DBachelor's degree preferred1-3 years of Training & Development, Supervisory experiencePhysical Requirements
