Douglas Elliman has over 100 years' experience in managing cooperative and condominium buildings with expertise in all facets of building management.
We are looking for the following Leasing Specialist to join our growing team at our property on-site Flushing!
Job Functions/Description:Manage all aspects day to day operations on leasing including vacancy leases, renewals, and communicating with residents.Including:
Conducting applicant interviews to determine program eligibility. (LIHTC/HUD/HOME).Sending third-party income verifications.Preparing, and executing the initial certification following HUD/LIHTC program requirements.Preparing lease paperwork and managing the resident move in process.If applicable, prepare subsidy paperwork.Ensure resident files are organized and completed for any upcoming audits.Scanning leases and leases related documents to YardiUpdate status on waiting list.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills with prospects, residents, and team members through personal and telephone contact.Create and update weekly renewal status reports for ownership.Timely generate and mail out monthly lease renewal packagesUpdate tenant records for new leases and renewals in YardiAssist with annual rent registrations.Assist and support leasing team when needed in other projects.Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000
Position Requirements
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.Prior real estate leasing experience preferred.Knowledge and experience with HUD, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and HOME affordable senior housing programs.Proficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to multi-taskTime management and organizational skills - detail orientedAbility to work independently, as well as part of a team.Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000
