on the JETS II Contract at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. As a

Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Developer

you will:

Developing new cloud-native platform services spanning all three major cloud environments.Working with Managed Kubernetes offering across all three major cloud providersIntegrating cloud managed AI and data services with other bespoke and open-source Kubernetes applicationsDeveloping best practices for cloud-native application development and promoting them within the organizationWriting quality code, providing quality and engaged code reviews for peersIdentifying opportunities to abstract Prospective Project requirements and develop Enterprise-grade, multi-tenant Platform ServicesWorking directly with NASA human spaceflight missions like Orion, Lunar Gateway, Mission Control and morePerform other duties as requiredHere's What You'll Need:

Requisition Qualifications:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area and normally possess 10 years or experience in the field or in a related areaExperience with Kubernetes in productionProficiency with Terraform (or equivalent) for infrastructure automation toolingExtensive Linux experience (familiarity with Windows also preferred, but not required)Expert in at least one programming language (Go is preferred)Solution-oriented mindset, accepts feedback with enthusiasmEffectively communicates with team members: clear status updates to direct report, regularly establishes unanimous decisions with peersAbility to thrive in a fully remote organizationSelf-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skillsAbility to use GitLab (preferably very proficient)Experience architecting and building cloud-native applicationsDemonstrable success and confidence in owning the full project lifecycleGood instincts for identifying opportunities for abstractionBalances individual project development tasks at hand with overall platform and company goalsBachelor's Degree or equivalent years of work experience required.NASA Experience preferred.Requisition Preferences:

3-5 years of progressive, native experience with a BSExperience with space mission operation software development

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position.

Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
