Location: Madison, MississippiJob Summary:

The SBX-MI program performs Operations & Sustainment (O&S) onboard an advanced radar system mounted on a modified oil-drilling vessel designed for exceptional stability in high winds and storms within the PACOM AOR that supports the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).Responsibilities:Monitoring hardware performance and satellite link connectivity.Performing pro-active monitoring of network elements alarms and alerts to identify components/elements that may lead to or are already causing network degradation.Accomplishing this through the use of network management system(s) and associated assets on a continuous (rotating shifts) basis.Interfacing with functional users and remote operations centers in both routine and reactive monitoring situations.Performing preventive and corrective maintenance.Supporting on-board and shore-side engineering analysis.Reporting failures, degradation of services, and maintenance impacting SBX-1 operational readiness and mission support services.Providing support for rack drawings and topologies via red-line updates as required due to equipment replacement and/or technology refresh.Monitoring In-Flight Data Telecommunications (IDT) shelter conditions, performing housekeeping, corrosion monitoring, and assessments to support shore-side analysis.Providing monitoring, reporting, and predetermined troubleshooting for BC Communications Node, GMD Communications Network (GCN), and IFICS Data Terminal.Qualifications:10 years of experience working in an Operational Environment supporting military missions.Active SECRET clearance.Experience deconflicting schedules in a complex operating environment with various organizations.Excellent written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.Ability to work well alone and as part of a team.Leadership and mentoring experience with proven results.Experience working in a maritime environment.A Bachelor's degree in a related field is desired.US Navy's A-Schools for Operations Specialists or equivalent civilian training.Experience performing in a deployed remote work environment for extended periods.Equal Opportunity Employer:
