What We're Looking For:Iridium is seeking a highly skilled Network Security Administrator III with extensive experience in managing and securing complex network environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network security principles, hands-on experience with security appliances, and excellent problem-solving skills. The ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and a proven track record in incident response are essential. Strong communication skills and a commitment to staying current with the latest security trends and technologies are also required.What You'll Do:Maintain, deploy, and manage advanced network security appliances from vendors such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, and Fortigate, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats

Lead the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security hardware and operating systems, implementing innovative solutions to enhance security postureEnsure network security and reliability by monitoring system performance, tuning security configurations, and performing regular security maintenanceDevelop, maintain, and update comprehensive IT security documentation, including network security diagrams, incident response procedures, and best practicesEvaluate, recommend, and implement automated security tools and processes to strengthen network defenses throughout the development lifecycleParticipate in security audits and remediation activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulationsCollaborate with various stakeholders to improve the organization's overall security posture through proactive threat modeling and risk assessment

What You'll Need to Succeed:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree5+ years of experience in Information SecurityInitial experience with AWS, Microsoft and Linux technologiesProven experience in IAM, Network, Application Security, and Data SecurityExcellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues clearly and confidently, and recognize and adapt to different communication techniquesBe able to analyze and understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions, come up with and evaluate unique solutions, and see those solutions through to completionBe independent and self-motivated and demonstrate a high degree of creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulnessHave a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion and be motivated to achieve outcomes and resultsCan thrive in a dynamic environment and efficiently manage multiple or complex projects while continuously looking for new and enhanced ways of doing thingsWe'll also need you to

:Provide 24/7 on-call assistance as needed to support business operationsBe able to travel up to 10%Be able to lift 30 lbs.Be a U.S. citizen (due to ITAR restrictions)Be able to work a hybrid schedule, 2-3 days in office and 2-3 remoteWork Environment:This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. For meetings in-person, this position will need to be able stand, walk within the office and climb stairs on occasion.
