Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics, Organizational Change Management, Communications, Training, and Information Technology (IT) Support Services. We are currently seeking an Oracle Database Specialist to join our team of professionals in support of the Oracle/Linux Opportunity located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. This position is not remote and requires in-person attendance Monday - Friday.Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Responsible for performing database and application regression testing on ~75 databases and ~25-30 applications.Responsible for implementing DISA STIGs for ~100 Oracle Enterprise 8 instances.Design and implement complex database architectures for high availability and performance.Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners and department managers.Install and configure new Oracle Database instances.Plan and execute upgrades and migrations.Monitor database performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.Tune SQL queries and database parameters to optimize performance.Define and implement robust backup and recovery procedures.Perform and automate regular backups, recoveries, and data refreshes as required.Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for data safety and privacy.Manage schema changes, data migration, and transformation scripts.Ensure data integrity and quality across the database systems.Provide expert troubleshooting for complex database issues.Offer technical support and guidance to development teams.Analyze and predict future database resource requirements.Scale database operations to meet growing business needs.Develop and maintain scripts to automate common database administration tasks.Document the database setup, architecture, and any changes applied.Maintain updated documentation for the data models and dictionary.Provide expertise and training to junior database administrators and other technical staff.Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops.Collaborate with IT project managers and business analysts on project planning, delivery, and execution.Communicate effectively with the Program Manager to ensure database capabilities and potential issues are made known.Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle technologies and best practices.Evaluate and recommend new database technologies, tools, and features.Performs related work, as assigned.Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)
Mandatory
Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher.Must have LINUX+ from CompTIA.
Certification:
Possess an active DoD Approved 8570 IAT Level II or above Certification.
Experience: 5-8 years
Minimum of 3-5 years LINUX and/or Oracle Database Administration Experience.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a customer facing environment.Ability to monitor and optimize database and server performance, including troubleshooting and resolving performance issues.Ability to implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and data masking.Familiarity with DISA STIGs, NIST SP800-53.x requirements, and experience in conducting DoD vulnerability/compliance assessments.
Clearance: US citizen with active DoD Secret (T3) clearancePreferred
CYSA+/CISSP preferred.
